Making a video play automatically forward but when it gets 3 seconds from the end reverse & . .

Hey folks,

Here is the site: http://bit.ly/1pAgIHq (I do have the WPMUDEV support enabled too FYI).

After the splash page, the background image moves via a video (watch the spiderwebs move). So, right now the background video auto plays but when it gets to the end it restarts. But there is a "jump" or blip.

So, is there a way to make the video reverse play about 3 seconds or so before the end and then when it gets near the beginning (say about 3 seconds reverse again) etc etc etc...so, it avoids the "jump" or blip?

OR

If you know of any other solutions, I would like to hear . . .

    Hi Greg

Hope you had a wonderful day.

is there a way to make the video reverse play about 3 seconds or so before the end and then when it gets near the beginning (say about 3 seconds reverse again) etc etc etc

This can be done but this will require very complex javascript code for detecting how many seconds left, how long to reverse play etc. which is, I'm afraid, beyond our support scope.

If you know of any other solutions, I would like to hear

In my understanding, if the video is created in such a way that the ending frame and the beginning frame is exactly same, then there will be no bumping. And you can create seamless looping with HTML5. Check this answer at StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/a/20788910

Please let us know if you have any confusion. We will be glad to help.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!
