Managing my plugins on my MU network

I installed some themes and plugins to my website at theindymall.com before signing up with WPMUDev. I would like to move those installed plugins and themes to the network admin level, for use in various modules across the network.

I'm also having trouble trying to figure out how to apply and activate given plugins to particular websites in the network.

    Hi mike.metz

Configuring multisite plug-ins were little confusing for me as well. One important thing to know is when a plug-in is network activated, then it is no longer listed in the individual site plugins page in the dashboard. What I mean is this: you have a network installation, and for example activated "classifieds" plug-in network wide. Lets say you have a

    site1.example.com

if you go into the dashboard for site1 and click on plugins, you will not see classifieds plug-in, because it is network activated. So you need to go to the network dashboard and plugins, there you need to deactivate the classifieds plug-in then go to site 1 dashboard and plug-ins, now you should see the clissfieds plug-in listed and you can activate it for this site only.
