Map always shows Toronto

hi!

Very weird. Our googlemapplugin always shows the city of Toronto, whatever we do and whatever adress we put. The preview in WordPress totally shows the right location. (We also have that Plugin in use on some pages, never any problem with adresses...)

So- Toronto...
just on this very website and only on frontend. What went wrong? A conflict with the template?

thx for help

    Hi @yourmedia_at

That would depend on a few things:

    1. Where are you adding the maps (posts, pages, profiles, events, other custom post types, etc)?
    2. What plugin addons do you have enabled?
    3. Also, be sure you click "Save changes to this map" when creating new maps.

Hope this helps! And thanks for being a member

Hi Patrick, thx for getting back!

i add the Map as a shortcode on a normal page. i click the map icon next to the upload icon, insert the adress, press save, sometimes it says "map not saved", sometimes it just does nothing.

i have no plugin addons enabled.

was using this plugin on other pages without any worries.

was hoping this is a known bug...

Am using a "themify" theme on this project: that is the only difference i see so far compared to other pages where i use googlemaps succesfully....

    Hi again @yourmedia_at

Yah, I've had difficulties with Themify themes in the past too.

They are pretty, but they seem to have their own way of coding stuff that doesn't always appear to respect WordPress coding standards.

The best recommendation I can give you at this point is to try and find an adequate theme that does not create such conflicts. Trying to track down the troublesome bits of code, and then find a fix for them, will likely consume much more time and energy than it's worth... and give you a series of headaches to boot.

Thank NAME, for their help.
