Mapped Domain just forwards to root domain

I know this has been asked a few times, but I can't find the right answer.

I have a parked domain at Godaddy.com which is http://www.modernmusicteachers.com with A name set at @ and pointing to 50.87.22.173

I have the domain mapping plugin settings on "Domain Entered by the User"

I can't get the mapped domain to forward to the right sub-site which is http://www.myproz.com/test2/

When I type in http://www.myproz.com/test2/ that also goes to the main domain now which is http://www.myproz.com

What am I missing?

Also, when I type in the mapped domain of http://www.modernmusicteachers.com, I want it to stay that way in the URL instead of changing to myproz.com/test2 if I can ever get it to work.

Any luck with domain mapping? I got a message back from our host. they just recommended setting up a test site to see if there are any conflicting plugins with domain mapping. I guess that means it's a no for shutting off the php hardner, suhosin.

It would be good if we could test with hoisin off.. :disappointed:

Whilst testing I did briefly deactivate all plugins, themes, checked wp-config, httaccess, etc, etc,

They all looked fine when I glanced over them. Hoisin is the most major difference between our installs.

I suppose we can check them over again just to be sure, is that ok?

    Thanks.

I don't think bluehost will let me turn it off. I asked. I gues they don't like me. Not sure what else to do. We really need this plugin to work. I have another network site that is on the same hosting and needs domain mapping to work.

As far as seo goes, is there limitations with domain mapping? Will I be able to optimize each page so if the mapped domain is mysite.com and I'm going to optimize each page, will it act like a regular website with it's own domain if all is working right in domain land?

It will look and function as if it is independent unless of course you do some branding like with the WP Admin bar or something else you setup.

Here are some other suHoisin issues:

    http://wordpress.org/tags/suhosin

Don't know if these would work, I suspect not if on shared hosting:

    http://myeasylinux.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/disable-suhosin/

If you do a Google search for "suhosin wordpress" a number of things come up, some probably outdated.

I think in this instance explaining to your host what you are trying to do, what the plugin does and then asking them about SuHoisin and how it might affect that.

They will know the setup best and may know if there is something affecting it. It might not be.

Let me know how you get on.
