After a lot of frustration with WP ecommerce, I decided to try to find something else.
And there was Marketpress.. When I saw that there was a possibility to import all products from Wp Ecommerce, I bought the plugin.
First I installed it on a test site ( Almost everything is working... the pagination is still not working. After that I tried to put it on our website After installation it was not possible to reach the checkout page. With two or three items in the shopping cart I tried to checkout. But it was all the time returning to the home page.

All I want is a site who is working good and stable

    Goodday Ella.

Welcome to WPMUDev. I assume you are a new member since you only have 2 points.

First off, congratulations on ditching the WP eCommerce plugin system. I spent an inordinate amount of time a year or so ago pulling my hair out, my client's hair out, and then I started on family members. When I realized that the problems I was having were related to WP eCommerce and not something I was doing, I wanted to pull the developers hair out (from the inside). Anyway, you have made a huge leap forward on a truly functional and highly customizable system. Plus, you have the support of the entire WPMUDev community.

    Now, on to your issue.

I just went to your website at, placed two items in my shopping cart, and went through the entire process all the way to the PayPal login screen to pay. You should see my entries as an abandoned shopping cart for my email address (amazingplr at gmail dot com). I saw no problems with that part of the process.

I also saw NO problems with pagination as I was able to step through all three pages of your website.

Is it possible that I misunderstood your original post or have you been working on it and actually got it to working now?

All I want is a site who is working good and stable

From what I see, I'd say you've already accomplished that. And I bet it was a whole lot easier than the headaches that you've experienced with WP eCommerce.

Be sure to post back if you are still having problems and someone here should be able to help you. But, as I see it from your description, you are not having any issues at this time. If you have gotten it to working, please post back what you did to accomplish it as someone else may benefit from your experience and before submitting that post, be sure to mark this as resolved.

Good luck with this and be sure to utilize the full resources of the community here.

    Hi Ella @dragana_durkovic

What lovely products! And I have to agree with @JamesDunn. I also went through your site and didn't see any problems.

If you need any further assistance, please post and let us know what else we can help with. However, I think you are getting where you want to be with your site - a big achievement let me tell you that! Bravo!

    Have a great day!

Wow, this is a new experience, there are people who are responding at my problem.
Thank you very much for that.

I think I was not clear enough.

On my test site Market press is working, only the pagination not. So you only see 25 out of the 100 products. When I want to show 100 products on one page, the grid view is messed up. I like my Layout what I made at

The problem with is that I can not get Marketpress working.
Still have problems with the checkout what is not showing up.

What you see is WP ecommerce! (half working) specially at the back end.
But I don't want to lose customers, I already had to much customers who were unsatisfied.....

I tried to install it with different themes, without other plugins, but no results.
I saw that my ISP is hosting my site on FREEBSD, can that be the problem?

O.K. your answers bring a few more questions for me.

#1 Is your test site hosted with the same host as your "live" site?
#2 If not, do you know the differences between the two hosts?
#3 Do you know the specs of your "live" site hosting?

Although FREEBSD and Linux both are based on Unix, I don't know for certain what the differences and limitations of each are. My server runs on Linux, so I'm more familiar with that system, but I used to work in a UNIX environment in years past (think DEC PDP11/73's).

Also, do you have more products in your test site than you have showing?

Finally, would you be comfortable sharing your login info to the test site? If so, send me login details to my "on the road" email - amazingplr at gmail dot com.

I'd suggest we get the test site working (so it will not affect your live site or active sales), then once we have the test site working it can be moved to the live site in a short period of time.

    Sound like a plan?

    Hi James,

In advance.. Sorry for my English.

Thank you very much for your offer!

To eliminate the problems with the different servers, my ISP moved my live site to the same server as the test site.
I installed a new test site on (market press)
My live site is still at (wp ecommerce)
Just take a look, I'm coming close.

I don't have knowledge of php css etc but I just want to have a site that is working and when there is a problem that I can fix it. So I'm learning  and I don’t want to give up!
Believe me; I'm much better with beads!

After the migration the problem with the checkout and Paypal is solved.
With some playing with Css I got the grid view that I want.

The problems that I still have:
    - Pagination (now there are 109 products on one page)
    - Coupons are not working.
    - Checkout forms
    - Only one picture per product
    - Categories listing in grid view

When everything is working I still have to repair a lot of links
So, when you have tips and trick.... please!

To spray a little bit with cold water at all the marketpress fans.
“Wp ecommerce is qua functionality better then Market Press “(when it is working)

    Greetings Ella,

Sorry to hear that you are having so many issues with Market Press plugin to include hosting issues as well.

    - Pagination (now there are 109 products on one page)

I see that you have my very competent neighbor Aristath helping you with the pagination issue in the following ticket:

    - Coupons are not working.

What is not working about the coupons? I have tested them and they work just fine. Please give details of the issue.

    - Checkout forms

What about the checkout forms, once again no description. It is like my car is broken, fix it, but you cannot see it.

    - Only one picture per product

This is the way it is designed and its intended outcome.

    - Categories listing in grid view

I just visited your site and it has changed since I started responding to this ticket tonight.

    What theme are you running?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe

    Hi Joe,

Thank you that you taking care of my issues.
Because I did not have response, I was trying it on another way

    1. Pagination is half solved, waiting on a answer of Aristath

    2. Coupons You answered on that over here:

3.Checkout forms. Not a good description but I solved that at

    4. Ok, I really think you need visual support for sales but i found my solution to use another plugin. Little bit complicated and I hope that it wil change in the future.

    5. Gridview I solved that by deactivating the Grid view plugin and made css for the product list to show up in grid view.

I have very old theme but I like the layout.

    I shall close this post
