MarketPress - Able to sell apart from my own product, allowing my friends to upload and sell theirs

Hi,

I need help or advice.

I like to create a website with the concept of market. For example, allowing my friends to have an account (that link to their paypal) and upload their products and able to sell via my website.

That the same time, during the transaction, I can take at least 3-5% (i define or even free) on to of their selling price too via paypal.

Does this MarketPress plugin able to deliver?

Thanks,
Hazman Aziz

    HI Tom,

Nope. I found a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpmarketplace/, similiar to what I am seeking

installed it. but now having lot's of problem, eg:

    - The timthumb not working
    - Unable to upload digital product
    - Member page (area) is not working.

    Been trying to troubleshool.

I just wish that MarketPress has similiar function like: Convert your online shop into money making machine even without having your own product.

    Basically similiar to ThemeForrest (http://themeforest.net/).

@Patrick's idea is what I have initially too. But, there will be lot's of work for my friends (who are in the music / publishing - ebook industry) and, they don't want to manage a website. They are requesting me to have a marketplace under my site: http://hazmanlabs.com. And they will support my store. The flow is:

    - they have an account in my MarketPress/MarketPlace
    - Upload their digital product
    - Able to sell and predefine the percent (commission) to be given to me (or vice versa)
    - dashboard able to monitor their product sales or outreach.

Yups, if MarketPress able to deliver this. Best, my fullest support and reckon. And this can be a case study for me when I am teaching e-commerce in the university to give my students a real like expose in online entreprenuership too.

    Thanks,
    Hazman Aziz
