Marketpress Add to Cart Button Color

I’m having some trouble changing the button color of the add to cart button in Marketpress.

I’ve been able to do it changing the css in the chrome developer tools, but when I try to apply the css to the actual plugin it does nothing…any ideas?

    Greetings jeremy_moncur,

    Sorry to see you are having trouble with changing the color of the cart button in your WordPress installation with Market Press.

    Are you running caching of any kind?

    Are you using two completely different browsers, one for testing and the other for developing?

    Is it possible that your theme css is over powering so to speak that of the Market Press plugin?

    Here are some examples of a custom colored cart button which shows the classes that would/could be changed:

    #mp_product_list input.mp_button_addcart, .type-product input.mp_button_addcart, input.mp_cart_direct_checkout_link, #mp_shipping_submit, form.mp_buy_form .mp_adding_to_cart, .mp_cart_direct_checkout_link, .mp_link_buynow {
    background-color: #349936;
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center bottom , #2F8C32 0%, #339937 100%);
    box-shadow: 0 1px 0 #2B7F2E inset;
    text-shadow: 0 -1px 1px rgba(27, 110, 29, 0.6);

    Please advise if this does the job for you.

    Cheers, Joe

    Aloha Joe,

    Thanks for the response. Not running cachning and doing all changes in chrome. I am running headway base theme so that may very well be contributing to it.

    I’ve tried the above code and changed all colors to black just to test, no go. Even “!important” ed all lines to see if that would work but still no change.

    Oddly though, I just checked firefox and it’s working on there…??? Not explorer or chrome, or safari though…

    Greetings jeremy_moncur,

    Thank you for your additional input and sorry for the delay in a reply – the ticket just came up on my screen today and three days of the delay were caused by your bumping the ticket sir though I am happy that you included the URL in your last post for me to check out in which I found all the buttons to be black which was in Firefox – but as you said in Chrome they are indeed green – bizarre.

    I found these when inspecting the elements and indeed though it shows green color codes #2b7f2e; AND #349937 AND #38a53c

    #mp_product_list input.mp_button_addcart:hover, .type-product input.mp_button_addcart:hover, input.mp_cart_direct_checkout_link:hover, #mp_shipping_submit:hover, .mp_cart_direct_checkout_link:hover, .mp_link_buynow:hover {
    background-color: #349936;
    -moz-box-shadow: inset 0 1px 0 #2b7f2e;
    -webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 1px 0 #2b7f2e;
    box-shadow: inset 0 1px 0 #2b7f2e;
    background-image: url(data:image/svg+xml;base64,PD94bWwgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4wIiA/Pgo8c3ZnIHhtbG5zPSJod…IwIiB3aWR0aD0iMTAwIiBoZWlnaHQ9IjEwMCIgZmlsbD0idXJsKCNoYXQwKSIgLz4KPC9zdmc+);
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(bottom, #349937 0%, #38a53c 100%);
    background-image: -o-linear-gradient(bottom, #349937 0%, #38a53c 100%);
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(bottom, #349937 0%, #38a53c 100%);
    background-image: linear-gradient(bottom, #349937 0%, #38a53c 100%);
    color: #fff;

    In which I believe all are coming from the modern.css file located in the child theme folder marketpressmarketpress-includesthemes which is where to make the adjustments

    Please advise if this indeed does the job for us.

    Cheers, Joe

    ****Please note:****

    One reason in this particular ticket here that we are having delays in a response is because of the way the ticket system works. The ticket system see’s every reply as well a reply … and then changes it’s priority in the support que to include ticket aging.

    Therefore it may not show up on our screens as early as it would under normal conditions. It is usually in your best interest to not bump tickets or reply to them unless there is something significant to add.
