Marketpress - mini-cart content and checkout sidebars

Howdy,

Is it possible to keep the .mp_mini_cart_content ribbon on the screen instead of having it disappear a few seconds after click the 'Add To Cart' button?

And is it possible to put a sidebar on the checkout pages? (So they can be reminded of what their getting, warranty, testimonials or anything like that.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hey Pete,

    Hope you're doing well :slight_smile:

    Floating cart has an extra class in its holder when there are items in cart so we can use that to show it with some CSS like this:

    .mp_mini_cart.has-items .mp_mini_cart_content {
        display: block;
    }

    .mp_mini_cart.has-items .mp_mini_cart_ribbon {
        margin-right: 0;
    }

    WordPress offers Custom CSS field inside Appearance > Customizer but if your theme disables this and it doesn't have its own CSS field you may wish to use a child theme or a plugin like this one for this additional CSS. That way you're protected when you come to upgrade.

    And is it possible to put a sidebar on the checkout pages? (So they can be reminded of what their getting, warranty, testimonials or anything like that.)

    MarketPress pages use shortcodes to show content so it depends on the page template that your theme uses.
    If you have a choice between full width and sidebar templates all you need to do is edit your MarketPress pages and instead of full width template select sidebar and that should do the trick.

    Best regards,
