Marketpress Plugin update is crashing my blog. Need some suggestions.

needed to delete Marketpress through cpanal to get site running again. Reinstalled plugin, same problem.

(Problem not with Dashboard, but your dropdown does not give uninstalled options)

Not sure what to do.

    Hello Judith,

    I’m sorry to hear that MarkerPress is causing troubles with your site.

    I’ve checked your website and it looks like your hosting is running 5.2 PHP, this is old version of PHP and if this possible you should upgrade it to the newer version. You probably need to contact your hosting provider in order to do that.

    If the PHP change will not work, then we have find what is causing this crash, so you need to enable debug mode in your WordPress. To enable it, open your wp-config.php file and look for define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);. Change it to:

    ‘define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);’

    In order to enable the error logging to a file on the server you need to add yet one more similar line:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );

    In this case the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/directory.

    Depending on whether you want your errors to be only logged or also displayed on the screen you should also have this line there, immediately after the line mentioned above:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, true );

    The wp-config.php is located in your WordPress root directory. It’s the same file where the database configuration settings are. You will have to access it by FTP or SFTP in order to edit it.

    After that activate MarketPress and see errors in the debug.log. You don’t need to delete the plugin folder in your cPanel to deactivate it, you can just change it’s name.

    Kind regards,
