Marketpress Update 3.1.1 to 3.2.4

Performed the WordPress core update to 4.8 which was successful, then performed the update from Marketpess 3.1.1 to 3.2.4 which said it was successful but upon visiting the front end of the site saw the error:

WordPress database error: [Incorrect index name '']
ALTER TABLE wp_arts_mp_term_relationships ADD KEY (term_id) /* From [artsactivities.staging.wpengine.com/] in [/nas/content/staging/artsactivities/wp-content/plugins/marketpress/includes/common/class-mp-installer.php:1248] */

This was performed on a WP Engine staging deployment of the live site (https://artsandactivities.com). The staging version of the live site (where the Marketpress update was performed) can be seen here: http://artsactivities.staging.wpengine.com I have activated WPMU Dev Dashboard Access to the staging site.

    Hello fmgpubs,

I'm sorry that update didn't went well on your site :slight_frown:

I've checked and it doesn't seem that support access is open for that site. But I feel I will need also FTP access to check those issue there.
Could you please send in the following via our secure contact form:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/#i-have-a-different-question
    - Mark to my attention, the subject line should contain only: ATTN: Kasia Swiderska
    - Do not include anything else in the subject line, doing so may delay our response due to how email filtering works.
    - Link back to this thread
    - Include WordPress admin access details (login address, username & password)
    - Include FTP log-in details (hostname, username & password)
    - Include any relevant URLs for your site

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you select "I have a different question" for your topic, so it doesn't go back to the forums - this and the subject line ensure that it gets assigned to me.

Please confirm here that you sent those credentials

Also please let me know if I can perform tests like disabling plugins on that staging site

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hello fmgpubs,

I'm sorry for the delay on my side. I got the credentials and they are correct.
I performed update on your staging site and I'm not able to spot any errors on front end. But there is issue with checkout, but that was recently reported and you can find hot fix for it here https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/checkout-spinning-and-not-working#post-1272496

About the update - I first updated WPMU DEV Dash and then from it I updated MarketPress.
I checked as logged in and logged out user and I don't see any errors you have reported. I was able to add products to cart and go to checkout.

Recommended practice for updates is to first update plugins and themes and then perform update of WordPress.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hello Kasia Swiderska

Thank you for the response; sorry I am only getting to this now.

On the live version of the site (https://artsandactivities.com) I have replaced the helpers.php as you suggested, then followed your instructions for updating WPMU Dev Dashboard, then MarketPress from the WPMU Dev Dashboard interface.

Once that was done, I went to the plugins page and saw the same error at the top of the page. I have attached a screen snippet of this error.

I had to restore from backup after performing these steps as the checkout stopped functioning. Please let me know if you need me to make a fresh copy of the site from https://artsandactivities.com to http://fmgaaatesting.wpengine.com/ for additional troubleshooting.

    Thank you

    Hello fmgpubs,

I'm sorry for the confusion I made.

Replacing file helpers.php has to be done after you updated WPMU DEV and MarketPress. If you first replaced file and then updated MarketPress then file with fix is gone.
You need to update MarketPress and replace file - in that order.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
