Membership x Events x Ecommerce

Hi There

We are looking to have a functionality where we can display "events" and sell them for different groups and prices based on authenticated and non-authenticated users.

For each event any group of users maybe be allow to buy the event variations such as.

Event1 can be sold as
a) Workshop Only , $50
b) Conference + Workshop, $120

Groups x Pricing

a) Registered can have 50% discount
- Workshop Only , $25
- Conference + Workshop, $60

b) non-registered (early bird - 2 weeks before event date) 10% discount
- Workshop Only , $45
- Conference + Workshop, $108

c) non-registered (normal)
- Workshop Only , $50
- Conference + Workshop, $120

Is there anyway we can achieve such configuration with the membership + ecommerce + event+ module ?

Many Thanks

    Hiya,

You can integrate it with the Membership plugin as below

    Event1 can be sold as
    a) Workshop Only , $50
    b) Conference + Workshop, $120

    Groups x Pricing

    a) Registered can have 50% discount
    - Workshop Only , $25
    - Conference + Workshop, $60

For this you will need to create 2 events. One for Workshop and one for Conference+Workshop

You can activate the Membership addon and then when a event is created, it will allow you to choose a member price for a user and even offer it for free.

    b) non-registered (early bird - 2 weeks before event date) 10% discount
    - Workshop Only , $45
    - Conference + Workshop, $108

Time based discounts are not a feature in the plugin unfortunately. So that is something which is not possible out of the box.

I hope that helps. Please feel free to ask if you have more questions on the same.

    Cheers

    Hi Pc

Thanks for replying back. I have been researching the MarketPress plugin and seems that it might suit our needs. However I sill have some questions:

    Membership x MarketPress Plugins

    1)
I would create the product as following

Product Name: Event1 (non - registered)
    Variations
    a) Workshop Only, $50
    b) Conference + Workshop, $120
    c) Workshop Early Bird, $45
    d) Conference + Workshop Early Bird, $108

Product Name: Event1 (registered 50% discount)
    Variations
    a) Workshop Only, $25
    b) Conference + Workshop, $60
    c) Workshop Early Bird, $22,50
    d) Conference + Workshop Early Bird, $54

So far I noticed that the products url will be something like

    http://domain/store/products/even1-non-registered/
    http://domain/store/products/even1-registered/

    Questions

    1) How would I use membership plugin to restrict access by products url
    a) Allow Registered User (members of certain level) to http://domain/store/products/even1-registered/
    b) Allow Non-registered to http://domain/store/products/even1-non-registered/
    * considering that's the only way to do what we are trying to achieve

    2) When someone buys a product from MarketPress am I able to:
    a) Sell a membership level together and assign them automatically to that specific membership ?
    b) If I can't sell membership levels together, am I able to force a registration mode during the events purchase and assign them to a specific membership level?

    Many Thanks

    Hiya,

    Sorry for the delay here.

    Questions

    1) How would I use membership plugin to restrict access by products url
    a) Allow Registered User (members of certain level) to http://domain/store/products/even1-registered/
    b) Allow Non-registered to http://domain/store/products/even1-non-registered/

You can use URL groups to protect them.

Create different URL groups using the product links and assign access to those groups to different membership levels.

So when anyone tries to access that link they will not see the content and you can provide them a link to signup for the membership plans and then they can access those products.

    a) Sell a membership level together and assign them automatically to that specific membership ?

Not using membership level as a product but you can actually control a product page using a Membership level and then ask the user to register for a membership level to get access to buy that product.

I hope that helps. Please feel free to ask if you have more questions on the same.

    Cheers
