Membership2 and Mailchimp Issue when changing subscription

Hi,

When testing I notice some strange behaviour with Membership2 and Mailchimp. Basically, if a member changes their subscription type they are sent an email from mailchimp confirming that they have been removed from the mailing list when in fact they have not. Is there some way of fixing this?

They should simply switch lists silently and only be removed if they cancel their membership.

Also it would be great if instead of selecting separate lists for users/members/deactivated we could assign them to interest groups instead as this allows us to have one list instead of multiple.

    That is actually correct, as the user has indeed been removed from one mailing list, but added to another. However, if a user is simply moved from one list to another, it would make sense to have an option in Membership2 to either have that done silently (no email to the user), or send a notification email to the user of the change.

    That would also make a great feature suggestion. So I've moved this topic to the Features & Feedback forum and have notified the plugin developer of this to see if he can get these suggestions implemented in a future release.
