Mini header at top of each post?

I have a client who's forgoing the actual header image at the top of his site. He wants instead a "mini header" image at the top of each post. Is it possible to make this happen automatically when a post is created rather than inserting the picture every time?

    hi @lbartley

    thanks for posting on the forum, that's an excellent question.

    You could possibly try one of the AD plugins we have, or there's various others in the wordpress plugins site.

    failing that,

    try this code snippit in your themes functions.php

    add_filter( 'default_content', 'add_post_header' );

    function add_post_header( $content ) {
        global $post_type;

        if($post_type == 'post') {
            $content .= 'add your header text/img url etc here or custom HTML';
        }

        return $content;
    }

    I think that should then add the custom html or image to the top of every post. use a div in the code or something & you could position it with CSS.

    let us know if you require any further assistance.

    thanks.
