Minification won't activate

Minification won’t activate on a subsite. It is working well on the main site with the same plugins active.

    I made some tests on your site and as far as I can see the Divi child theme cause Hummingbird error. I am flagging this thread to SLS. Let’s wait answer from them for more information and how can we solve this conflict/error. Thank you for your patience!

    I hope you are doing great today. Thank you so much for reporting this issue and I am terribly sorry for any inconveniences that it might have caused. I hope we resolve this as soon as possible. I have noticed that you had previously granted support access but unfortunately it expired before I could have a look.

    Would you please enable support access and allow us some time to look into this. It will be much better if you send WordPress login details for an account we can use because Support Access has a time limit per session and it also expires. You may send login details via our secure contact form, make the subject “Attn: Lindeni Mahlalela” then in the message box include:

    – Your WordPress login details (login url, username and paswword)

    – A link back to this thread for reference.

    Once we have that we will look into your site and see if we can do and hopefully we can resolve it soon. I am hoping to hear back from you soon.

    Hello Jens.

    I hope you are doing great today. Thank you for sending in the requested information. I have accessed your website and ran some tests.

    When activating Minification in Hummingbird I have noticed that during the scan the server returns a 520 error on admin-ajax.php. Searching on the web, I have found that he error is returned by Cloudflare.

    Once this error has been encountered then the process will either stall or just redirect to the same page with the button to activate minification. I have found a useful document on CloudFront which says the error can be caused by one of the following:

    – Connection resets (following a successful TCP handshake)

    – Headers exceed Cloudflare’s header size limit (over 8kb)

    – Empty response from origin

    – Invalid HTTP response

    – HTTP response missing response headers

    according to Cloudflare Documentation

    Even though I am not sure what causes the error in your website but I think that if Cloudflare could be temporarily disabled, we might have some luck activating minification. If possible, please deactivate Cloudlare temporarily and test try to activate minification again and see if that helps.

    If disabling Cloudflare does not then we will investigate further and see if we can come up with another solution.

    Do you see other options?

    You will not see any options on any of your sub sites because Hummingbird can only be "Network Activated", if you try to activate it in a subsite, the activate link is like this:

    On each sub site you will only see the Minification page, when you activate it the only thing you should see is what you already see on the sub site on the "Hummingbird" page. All other options are only available in Network Admin for the Super Admin to manage. The other options are not available for sub sites if Hummingbird is installed in a multi site install.

    But I am still left over with the question, do the Hummingbird work for My Sub Site specifically?

    How long do you expect it will take for you resolve it for My Sub Site?

    Our developers checked the Minification issue. Looks like the subsite have some JS errors in the developer's console:

    These errors need to be resolved to run the Minification. To resolve the MixConetent errors, please try one of the following plugins:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-https/

    There are two images that are missing:

    wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2016/12/eng.png
    wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2016/09/logo-optimon-25x26.jpg

    The first image eng.png is missing from Ubermenu plugin, and the second image does exist in the uploads folder and it is coming from ShiftNav Pro – Responsive Mobile Menu plugin. If the images added manually, please try to re-upload it, otherwise please try to re-install the plugins.

    If re-installing the plugins will not solve these JS errors, please temporary deactivate them and try to activate minification.
