Missing CSS

I just upgraded everything, WordPress, Buddypress and the Framemaket theme. Everything is just as it should, except for the buddypress pages, they appear to be missing some of the css of the other pages. Please take a look, the front page: http://fondelifair.com/

    Hi Fondeli,

You are using a child theme, correct? If so, can you move your edits over to the new version’s child theme?

If not, I believe you may just have to update GridMarket as well as FrameMarket. Have you copied over the new version’s GridMarket child theme?

    Hi David,

Yeah I didn’t copy the new Grid market, as I was unsure if I had to. As I thought that having a child theme meant you didn’t have to keep making the changes…is there a way to keep all the child theme changes separate to Gridmarket, does that require creating a new child theme?

    Hi Fondeli,

That’s a bit of a complicated one there, since GridMarket itself is a child theme and you can’t have a child of a child theme.

Potentially, you could create a copy of GridMarket and rename the relevant bits to make a new child theme of your own from it, basically another child of FrameMarket. However, that would likely still require core changes such as you experienced here with GridMarket, with certain updates.

It really just depends on the update, sometimes updates require changes to a child theme. I think the developers try their best to avoid that, but some circumstances just require it.
