I'm looking for the best way to assure that people who visit http://MacrobotMarketer.com are redirected to http://MacrobotMarketer.com/wordpress because that's where my WordPress site is actually located.
I was considering a 301 redirect, but in researching it at the Apache website, I found (on http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/howto/htaccess.html) this recommendation:
"However, in general, use of .htaccess files should be avoided when possible. Any configuration that you would consider putting in a .htaccess file, can just as effectively be made in a <Directory> section in your main server configuration file."
It referred me to this page for details of the <Directory> Directive
That page is dense and doesn't give me the decirection instructions in a way I can understand.
Can you tell me the content I should add to <directory></directory> to make the redirect as I need?
