Moving to MarketPress from Duka

Hi, I had built a store over a year ago that was built on WordPress and another script called DukaPress. It hasn't been ideal but for where we were at at the time it was sufficient. Now, we've upgraded to the Elite package here on WPMU Dev to prepare for some expansion. As the web developer I'd like to convert, in a way that's as seemless as possible, the customized DP store to MarketPress. Is this possible? For instance, there's an AJAX-based cart updater at the top of the page, is there a way to get this on MP (it might seem like a novelty, but the client loves it)?

For reference, the store is here: My Funky Findings.

I have used MP before but in such a basic use that I didn't need much from it and it seems like, on some level, to get it to look like the current store does now could be quite a bit of work. Hopefully this can be easily accomplished. I would appreciate any help I could get. Thank you!

    Hey statvoid,

    Welcome to the Forum

From the design point of view, yes some work is involved. But that should not be any hard. Checkout the FrameMarket theme for MarketPress - https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/frame-market-theme

You will get an idea on how to get started.

One thing I noticed about the store is, you have very few products. Just 26 products in total, is it?
The easiest option for you would be to create them one by one. No complications that way. At the moment we have an importer only from WP-eCommerce. Of course, you can always do an import from a CSV.

Let me know if you have more questions. Would be happy to answer!

    Cheers!
