Multiside together with Hummingbird breaks logo-path on Avada Theme

Hi WPMU Team,

I have seen some stange beavor on my side together with Avada Theme.

It seems, If I activate Hummingbird, the Path from the Logo in Avada Theme changes after an admin login.

All Sides with Avada Theme activated will be broken

As example: https://inge-scheuer.de/

Logo Path will be:

https://ingescheuer.hubermanfred.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2016/03/logo_IngeScheuer1.png

but should be:

https://inge-scheuer.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2016/03/logo_IngeScheuer1.png

I have four Sides with Avada activated in the moment.

https://objektundfarbe.com/ admin logine done –> error wrong logopath

https://birgit-heigel.de/ no login thince Humminbird activation -> logopath is ok

https://pinselpioniere.de/ no login thince Humminbird activation -> logopath is ok

https://inge-scheuer.de/ admin login done –> error wrong logopath

May the error comes due to the https problems? see pic.

    Hi Jude,

    thanks.

I have no insecure content on my sides.

    Tests give me a grade A. https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=birgit-heigel.de

    The logo path changes from

    https://inge-scheuer.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2016/03/logo_IngeScheuer1.png

    to

    https://ingescheuer.hubermanfred.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2016/03/logo_IngeScheuer1.png

In my opinion, this should not change and is the problem.

The domain mapping should change all pathes to inge-scheuer.de

Due to Hummingbird together with Avada Theme (I think?) something will breake.

    Ciao

    Hello Manfred_Huber,

I hope you are well today.

I suspect the reason you are having this issue is because you might have uploaded media to the Media library before mapping the new domain. WordPress stores the paths to media in the database and Domain Mapping won’t change this. (This is mainly due to Domain Mapping being able to map multiple domains to a single subsite.) The simplest solution to your problem would be to removed the image and reupload it.

The reason for the SSL warning is because your primary domain has the SSL certificate assigned to it, and WordPress is forcing SSL on everything on your site, but the subdomain does not match the domain in the SSL certificate. This is why it’s not being rendered properly.

Would you mind removing the old logo image and reuploading it and see if this resolves your problem?

If it does not, would you mind granting me Support Login access so I can take a look at your site and see if I resolve this for you?

You can learn how to grant WPMU DEV Support Access at the following link:

Please reply back here once you’ve enabled access so I will be notified.

    Hi James,

    thanks for help.

    I think I got it.

Its a Avada / Multiside combination problem.

If I do a network login and switch from here to the webside dashboard:

    https://objektundfarbe.hubermanfred.de/wp-admin/

Avada will change the the pathes in the “wp_17_options” “avada_theme_options” Table to

    https://objektundfarbe.hubermanfred.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/17/2016/05/Logo-Hauptseite.jpg

If I do a login over https://objektundfarbe.com/wp-admin/ – Avada will change the logo-pathes to the right ones.

I’m not sure if it is a bug or a feature :slight_frown:

I have to open a Ticket at Avada Support

Now I have a workaround, but Im not happy with it.

    Any Ideas?

Should I chage some features in the Domain Mapping options?

    Administration mapping or Admin mapping.

    Access is granted.

    Thanks ans ciao Manfred

    Hello Manfred_Huber,

I hope you are well today.

I just checked your sites and everything seems to be functioning correctly now. The sites that use the Avada theme have their logo paths correct. Were you able to come to a solution with Avada support?

As far as Domain Mapping goes, the subsite should use whatever domain is mapped for the paths of the images, providing that is the setting you're using. See screenshot.

Please let us know what solution you found so others who might be in a similar situation will benefit.

Let me know if you have any further questions. I'll be happy to help!
