Multisite with ProSites

So I got a fatal error when I tried to activate prosites. Seems I need WP Multisites installed and configured. Started looking at the configuration process and got intimidated. Here is my question. I have my main site - proshark.com. Is it better to use my main site to set up multisite / prosites or is it better to use another domain and wp install so it does not mess up my primary domain? Any configuration tips or tricks are greatly appreciated as well. Thanks, Joel

    Hey there Joel,

hope you're doing good and thanks for reaching us!

Here's an article from our blog, called "The Ultimate Guide to WP multisite"
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/ultimate-guide-multisite/
in where you can also find installation notes.

About Pro Sites installation and usage, please navigate to product's page here for some extended information https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pro-sites/#product-usage

Is it better to use my main site to set up multisite / prosites or is it better to use another domain and wp install so it does not mess up my primary domain?

That's totally a decision of your own. You can still change your current installation in multisite though, and proshark.com can have the role of the main blog of your network.
Then your subsites can use either subdomain (subsite.proshark.com) or subfolder (proshark.com/subsite/) structure, depending on the actual multisite settings made before while installing it.

Hope that was some help, feel free to post back here if more assistance is required!

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
