Must Be Missing It: How to manually create a member in backend.

I can't seem to find where I can manually add a new member in the admin without them having to go through registration themselves.

Any is appreciated.

Thanks,
Marcus

    Hey marcusc.

    In your WordPress admin (If in multisite mode then the admin of the site in question). You can go to:

    Admin--> Users --> Add New

    or:

    youdomain.com/wp-admin/user-new.php

    Then for the Membership plugin you can go to:

    Admin --> Membership --> All Members

    or

    yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=members

    You will see a list of users in there, you can manually assign them levels and subscriptions.

    I've attached screenshots for your guidance. :slight_smile:

    Hope this helps, please let me know how you get on. :slight_smile:

    Helpful. Now I need to figure out which other plugin I'm using is mucking the membership one up. I have nothing on my wp-admin/admin.php?page=members page except:

    Manage Member Settings

    Login page (if different from default Wordpress login page):
    Member registration page (if different from default Wordpress register page):
    Require login for all events?

    Dang! I'm sooooo close.

    Trying to create a site for a club with a member directory and a good calendar. That's a challenging combination! The easiest to set up has been the membership part, though that's actually the least important to my client.

    Is this a sub blog?

    If so then you will need to add the members to it through the:

    Users --> Add New.

    All users get registered to your main site, but to your sub sites.

    I'm not really sure what you mean here, could you please clarify?

    How do you mean calendar?

    Because it can be used in different senses (display posts, events, birthdays, etc). I presume you mean to display upcoming events?

    I just figured out the problem. I'm using two plugins that call the same page!

    Event Espresso has a member page as well. That's what's coming up.

    Dang.

    That part of the Event Espresso is optional, but it makes it possible for folks to get a different price based on whether they are a member or not. I guess it has to go. It was a premium addon, too. Shucks!

    Deactivated the Event Espresso Members plugin and all is right with the world.

Thank NAME, for their help.
