My performance

My performance report from Hummingbird seems to indicate an extremely low score when it comes to “Render blocking”. The strange thing is, it seems to be coming from WPMU DEV, render blocking behind “cloudfront.net”:

Remove render-blocking JavaScript:

Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:

so from what it looks like, your own plugin, which is designed to help my performance, is causing me to have a low performance report when it comes to render blocking CSS and js. It is giving me the same report for Pagespeed insights.

    Hey guys,

These reports are bit tricky as google wants you to minify and combine your file and load them from footer in order to prevent render blocking, the thing is that sometimes when there are a lot of files combined it causes large combined files which again google doesn’t like and it shows such reports.

This reports are different from one installation to another and require tweaking of Minification settings in order to get the best results.

So you would need to go to Minification panel and play around with the files, try disabling combine for some largest file so they are loaded independently and move them to load to footer if it doesn’t break the functionality.

There’s unfortunately no automatic way of doing this as it’s different on each installation and it depends on theme and plugins you’re using on your site.

Hope this clears things up a bit.

    Best regards,

    Predrag
