Need help adding two horizontal areas under the three content areas (above footer)

I'm trying to add two horizontal areas that stretch across the width of my site design. I need them to be above the footer and below the three columns of content. I'd like to place a slider in one of the areas and a linkable graphic in the other.
please see the attached link to see the psd design:

    hiya

    thanks for the post.

you would need to edit either the theme templates or the marketpress templates. for the page on your hope page, you would need to edit your themes template. maybe index.php or home.php

if on product pages, most likely this would require some custom editing in the plugin templates. maybe it could be done using shortcodes by editing the store page.

    [mp_list_products]

    <div class="page-break"></div>

    [mp_popular_products]

    and so on.

    hope this helps.

    Sorry.
This didn't help at all. I'm a newbie. I can find the index.php within the editor, don't see home.php.

Are you familiar with the "Product" template I indicated, or were you just giving general information? Where do I put the code? I want to remove the homeleft-sidebar, homemiddle-sidebar, and homeright-sidebar and have two horizontal areas that run the width of the home page (don't need this on interior pages). I want to place a slider that is roughly 200 pixel high in one area. I also want to place a graphic with a linkable graphic in the other horizontal bar.
    Thanks.
