Need help pinning layer to column bottom

Hi, please take a look at In the bottom right of the home page I have the #home_container_social div. How do I pin it to the bottom of its containing column? That way the layer bottom will align with the bottom of the video div to its left. Thanks!

    Hi there @robert

    Welcome to WPMU DEV, glad to have you aboard!

    You just need to adjust the bottom property in the CSS. This is what appears in your style-sheet:

    #home_container_social {
    position: relative;
    bottom: 0;

    So to get it to align nicely with the bottom of the video, and since you are not using a child-theme, you’ll want to add some custom CSS in your admin using a handy plugin like this one:

    Once you have that plugin installed, add this to get stuff looking purty:

    #home_container_social {
    bottom: -100px;

    You do not need to redeclare the position:relative; as your theme will use what’s already in its style-sheet. But anything you add to the Custom CSS will override your theme’s style-sheet.

    Have fun!

    Could you guys please take another look at this? The problem is the content above it (the news feed) is sometimes shorter than it usually is. Try slapping a display:none on #home_container_news to test this out. Somehow we need to align the bottom edge of #home_container_social with #home_left_container. Thanks!!
