Need help with Membership 2 Pro

Hi, Good day to you. I have problem with setting up membership2 pro... when I registered a new account, I am send to the choose membership section and after that I am looped back into the register new account page again. And the person who registered will be stuck as my subscriber and not as a member. Hope someone can assist...

    Hello Mei,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

Such issues are usually caused by one of these: Membership 2 Pro misconfiguration or a plugin/theme conflict when other plugin (or theme) is interfering with Membership 2 Pro internal scripts.

That being said I'd like to take a closer look at it. Would you mind granting me a support access to the site? To do this, please follow this guide here:

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello Mei ,

Hope you are well today and won't mind me chiming in.

I took a look at your site and noticed error of Mixed Content:. Mixed content error usually comes when your site loads on https but some portion of page loads over http. That is what happening on your site, after registration, Membership 2 Pro loads subscription page for selected Membership which is not loading due to Mixed Content error.

Can you use this and test ?

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello Mei!

Would that be okay with you if I temporarily switch the site's Membership payments to my own PayPal sandbox account while testing? This would let me get better insights on the issue.

Let me know please! Once I'm done with testing I'll set your current PayPal credentials back.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello Mei!

    Thank you for your response!

I checked the site and at first I confirmed that signup attempt redirected me back to registration even though the subscriber account was created. When I tried to submit the same form again using the same data I got a message that username and e-mail is already taken (which is fine considering that user account was created). I wasn't however able to proceed with membership signup and wasn't given a membership.

I then tried to register again by submitting the same form but with different data and this time I was able to register for a membership with no issues at all.

This was checked with Firefox so I gave it another try using Opera browser and exactly the same happened: first attempt created a regular user account (subscriber) with no membership assigned and the second one (using the same form but different data) created another subscriber account but this time went through the full signup process and assigned membership.

It seems to be related to either cache or some conflict that's breaking the registration process and a full theme/plugin conflict test will be essential here. That being said, please follow the steps described on a flow-chart in this article (you may need to scroll the page down a little):

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

This should help us pinpoint the main culprit here which I'll then investigate in depth in order to find a solution.

Let me know please about test result.

    Best regards,
    Adam
