Need help with redirect rules.

I recently redesigned this site removing a really crappy ThemeForest theme, removing about 25 plugins and Visual Composer. I didn't change any URLs but I have numerous 404 errors from Google Console with all URLs ending in /example.com.
Something in the old theme produced URLs with /example.com appended to all the URLs. I need a global redirect that will find the /example.com and redirect to the parent URL. For example so /venues/victory-headquarters-2/2/example.com needs to redirect to /venues/victory-headquarters-2/2/.
I have hundreds of URLs with this issue. I am trying to figure out a global redirect that will find example.com in any URL and redirect it to its parent URL - and yes it really is example.com in the URLs. Please help.
