Need help with the Events+ Calendar Archive Template

Hello,

I am using the Events+ plugin on http://studiomoves.com and I would really like the main events page (http://studiomoves.com/schedule/) to display a calendar. But, when I switch the 'Appearance Settings' to use the Calendar plugin for the Archive template, the layout of my site theme goes crazy - the content wrapper and header disappear and all I see is a transparent calendar.

I know that the settings page says that the Archive and Single page templates won't work with every theme, but I was wondering if anyone would have a moment to possibly help me figure out how I could use the Calendar on my current theme.

You can see what a normal page looks like at http://studiomoves.com/classes/class-1/ and you can see the difference in the appearance of the Events archive page at http://studiomoves.com/schedule/

Thank you,
Noah

    Hey Noah,

First off, Welcome to the Community!

I just tried out editing it with Firebug and it is possible to easily fix this up. I see that you are a designer yourself? I hope you can handle this.

You will find the template for the calendar archive-incsub_event.php in wp-content\plugins\events-and-bookings\default-templates\calendar\

Copy that to your theme's folder. Now open up the page template (should be page.php) and see what is there before the class home-page-content. I suppose there is a call to the header file? IF so add that to the template for the calendar and that should bring in the header, the top menu and stuff.

I hope you get the idea. If not please send me a ftp login to your installation to arun [at] incsub.com and I will try and fix it.

In the email please do provide a link to this thread so that I can refer. I will be lost otherwise.

Give it a shot and let me know

I'm sorry that it took me a bit to respond, but believe me that I implemented your fix just a few hours after you posted it - just forgot to respond. Thank you for answering my question so quickly!

Your advice worked perfectly. Of course, there's something left to be desired when using the calendar template with a fluid page layout, but I'll do some restyling and shouldn't have too much trouble.

    Thanks for the help!
