Networks of networks in one WP installation

I started a discussion this morning about “several Multisite installations” and I received a great answer from aecnu, when I was presented to Networks for WordPress plugin, a really great resource for anyone who works with multisites. Cool.

I have tested here in my localserver first. Installed the plugin in my wspt.dev development local server, created two other domains (personal.dev and smallbiz.dev) pointed both to the WP installation folder as following:

<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot "J:/xampp1/htdocs/wspt"
ServerName personal.dev
ServerAlias *.personal.dev
<Directory "J:/xampp1/htdocs/wspt">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI Includes
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot "J:/xampp1/htdocs/wspt"
ServerName smallbiz.dev
ServerAlias *.smallbiz.dev
<Directory "J:/xampp1/htdocs/wspt">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI Includes
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
</VirtualHost>

and have commented the following line in my wp-config.php file:

/*define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'wspt.dev');*/

Well, both personal.dev and smallbiz.dev root sites are working fine, but I can’t access the wspt.dev root site, the main domain network. I’m getting the following message:

“Server not found. Firefox can’t find the server at domain_current_site…”

But I can access the wspt.dev/wp-admin area normally…

Well, anyone have an idea about what is getting wrong there? :slight_smile:

Thanks!
