New Blog Template Configuration Work Flow

Hello,

We are trying to create a new site that we intend to turn into a New Blog Template (site-template1.oursite.com). Once we create a name for the site from within our main account, do we then need to log into the new site as though we're admins and start building? Or, is the idea that we should select the site from our Site's menu, and start adding content, plugins, theme selections etc from there? The latter doesn't seem to work because our new url only produces a blank page and there don't seem to be any site specific styling options when we navigate to the site from our main admin screen.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond.

    Hey Jarrod,

    Hope you're doing well today!

Yes, so when you create the site you want to be your template one, just set it up how you would like it to look, then go to your network admin > Blog templates and set it as a template

I just logged in and went to your template site. demosite1, and the reason it was giving a white screen on the frontend is because it had the twentyfifteen theme active but the theme didn't actually exist, so perhaps you removed that theme from your themes directory? Either way, I just activated Spirit on there and it's displaying correctly.

If you had already set some settings up with twentyfifteen, then just re-install the twentyfifteen theme and activate it again.

Hope this helps! If you have any further questions just let us know.

    All the best,
    Tyler
