Optimising Page Speed – Remove Render Blocking Resources

Hi Guys,

Please make this ticket private.

In relation to improving site speed – it looks like the option to defer scripts with Hummingbird is lost with Divi theme under Asset Optimisation.

Can you please assist me to get this ranking higher?

    Hi Matthew,

I will try to note the process along with screenshots in this post.

Step 1 : Go to Hummingbird Pro -> Asset Optimization

Step 2 : Click on the settings icon to enable Advanced Mode

Step 3 : Start by minimizing the file by clicking on the extreme left icon.

Step 4 : Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes

Step 5 : Scroll up and clear the cache

Step 6 : Go to the site and check if everything is working fine. If anything looks out of place then click on the left most icon again and repeat Steps 4 & 5 again and test again. If everything is looking fine the move on to compress the next file.

Step 7 : Once all the required files are compressed, click on the third icon to move the JS file to footer. Please do not do this with CSS files and jquery.js and jquery.migrate.js as these files are required to be loaded from a certain place to keep things working as expected.

Once you click on the "Move to Footer" icon. Save changes and clear the cache as shown in Step 4 & 5 and test the site and proceeed and roll back the changes depending on whether it breaks the front end or not.

    Hope this helps

    Thank you

    Jayman
