Optimizing Images using premium wpmudev smushit pro

I've run your smushit pro several times, have scaled and cropped images and I'm still getting low performance scores. What should I do?

    Hey Rebecca Borough !
Hope you are having a great day!

I have checked your site and it seems most of the images (4 out of 5) require 'Compressing and Resizing'. According to the Hummingbird 'How to improve' section,

    2. If any images in the list above recommend “Compressing and resizing”, that means their dimensions are scaled down in your content compared to the actual file dimensions. You can crop or scale those images using the WordPress image editor to match the embedded size in your content.

To be clear, 'Compressing and Resizing' means, your image just doesn't require compressing (which is done my Smush) but also Resizing. That is, these images are larger (or scaled down) compared to the container they are used in your content. So, all you have to do is, resize/crop these images to the size of the container you are using them in.

Hope this helps. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks!
