Override header fonts in nelo theme

Im using the font plugin for the nelo theme. When I choose the font for the header tag there is no change to the font. The only time the font changes is when I change it in the theme options page. How do I get around this so I can use fonts from the plugin?

    Sure, Google's made it rather easy to add their collection of web fonts to any site and since the fonts are hosted by Google, delivery is quick and reliable.

    Here's a link to their font directory: http://www.google.com/webfonts

    Clicking on any of the fonts in that list, you'll be presented with other options, one of them being "Use this font", which gives you the information you need to add the font to your site.

    For use with WordPress themes in general and Nelo in specific, you can add the relevant html link to your header.php file.

    As an example, to use the Ubuntu font for your header, you can simply add the following line to the header.php file in the Nelo folder.
    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Ubuntu&v1' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

    Then you can add the following to the style.css file:

    .site-title h1 a {
    font-family: 'Ubuntu', arial, serif;
    }

    You can even make those changes directly from your admin area at Appearance > Editor. By default the page takes you to the style.css file, so you can make that edit then select the header.php file to edit.

    Saving those changes, you should see the change reflected in the header font.

    Hope that helps!
