Packet Bigger than "max_allowed_packet"

Hello,

Can anyone shed light on what might be causing the following errors?

I understand about deactivating plugins and the process of elimination, etc. and am in the process, but hoped someone might know the culprit and shorten the process.

Thanks,
Phil D

I'm going to echo what @Paul said here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/why-is-snapshot-looking-for-non-existent-table. It looks like this is a translation plugin. Do you currently have any translation plugins enabled? If so, does disabling them stop these errors?

It looks like you had a plugin throwing that same error three months ago: https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/friends-fatal-error. If you have been using the same translation plugin, I would very much suspect it as the culprit.

    Hi Guys,
    Thanks for the tips.

We were using Transposh on a few sites and I deactivated it and removed it completely via FTP. I also emptied the translation tables on site 1 completely via PHPAdmin.

The following errors are still occurring. Any other suggestions?

What do you reckon the domain references might relate to?

I am systematically removing plugins from the network but that is such a pain and is disruptive to users.

    Thanks for chiming in.

    Hey there.

Can you not increase the max_allowed_packet set in your MySQL config?

I am systematically removing plugins from the network but that is such a pain and is disruptive to users.

A quick way is to rename the /plugin/ folder that will deactivate them all (don't load the plugins admin page, this will mean you have to manually activate them again), you then create a new /plugin/ folder and move one plugin at a time and keep testing the issue.

When it occurs again that will give you the pointer. Looking at the errors there it seems that in the sql is the domain mapping.

Have you spoke with your host about this?

    What did they say?

    Take care.
