Page view and admin view not working on WP for Android App

Hello,
I have downloaded the WP for android app . customized it as required. but the Page View and Admin View commands not working correctly and it seems it goes to some kind of loop.

So i have tried on the EduBlogs APP available on the play store and the same happening on this official app also.

Kindly provide any solution for this.

and one more query: how can i add few more link to the menu command/button like pages/posts/comments.. i want to add some custom link here.

thanks.

    Hi there @Saurabh,

    Hope you're well today and sorry about the delay on this.

    First to add links you can add those by opening up src/org.edublogs.android/Constants.java

    Now you need to add the actual menu section.

    Open src/org.edublogs.android.ui/WPActionBarActivity.java

    For adding a new section to menu in the method onCreate(…) you need to use

    mMenuItems.add(newMyNewWindows());

    where MyNewWindows() – this is a class with the structure:

    privateclassHelpextendsMenuDrawerItem {

    Help(){

    super(NewWindow_ACTIVITY, R.string.help, R.drawable.dashboard_icon_subs);

     }

    @Override

    publicBooleanisSelected(){

    returnWPActionBarActivity.thisinstanceofNewWindowsActivity;

     }

    @Override

    publicvoidonSelectItem(){

    if (!(WPActionBarActivity.thisinstanceofNewWindowsActivity))

    mShouldFinish = true;

    Intentintent = newIntent(WPActionBarActivity.this, NewWindowsActivity.class);

    intent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_NO_ANIMATION);

    startActivityWithDelay(intent);

     }

    }

    NewWindow_ACTIVITY– ID of menu section, announced:

    protected static final intNewWindow_ACTIVITY = 13;

    For the loop issue, do you have any screenshots or a screencast (video) so I could take a look, is this on a virtual device (emulator) or a actual mobile?

    If it's a actual mobile, what Android version are you running?

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

      Hi Jack,
      Thanks for replying.

      The issue is present in the Edublogs App(android) itself.
      When i click on "View Site" or "Admin View" it displays the hosting error 403. and it seems that the page refreshes frequently.
      Kindly check the attached images.
      and I have tried on both Virtual Device and Actual mobile. both with 4.2.2 andriod version.

    Hi there @Saurabh,

    Hope you're well today and thanks for the additional information.

    Very interesting, so is this in the official Edublogs app downloaded from the Google Play Store, or is the app un-modified in the download package for WP for Android? :slight_smile:

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hi there Saurabh,

    Hope you're well today and thanks for the additional information.

    Interesting, I haven't been able to replicate this, in the app you've customized, have you modified the URL's?

    On the official Edublogs app from Google Play, do you have a edublogs account you tried to login with, any other site accounts won't work.

    Please advise. :slight_smile:

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.
