Pagination not working on homepage

Hi there,

I have a strange problem.
Look on the homepage here: http://cbisengland.co.uk

See the pagination, and try to click to page 2. Redirects to homepage.

Earlier this morning I installed a 301 plugin (redirection) and basically tried to hack fix the problem by putting redirect for instance here:
http://cbisengland.co.uk/page/2/
to redirect to
http://cbisengland.co.uk/category/news-2/page/2/

And - it worked, I think.
But now, it's back to not working again.

Your help would be much appreciated

Cheers
Paul

Hey @Paul Lacey, hope you're doing well this evening!

I'm seeing that the redirection's working properly on my end, but I'm curious, have you checked to see if there's a plugin on your site that's interfering with the normal pagination behavior?

Was there a time when this did work properly? If so, do you recall what happened around the time that the behavior changed?

    Please advise,
    Michael

Ha ha - it's funny and strange at the same time that it works for you.
Sometimes it works for me - sometimes not.

Here is my theory - perhaps if I log in, and try it - then it doesn't work, and then I log out and the cache of the not working re-direct applies. Just a theory.

Perhaps you could login and see if it works on the homepage, and then what you experience on logout (I have granted access via the control panel).

About if it worked before - it's a new problem on the basis that the client's blog only just hit the pagination point (e.g. it paginates at 5, and he uploaded a few posts recently to make his post count 7).

The pagination works everywhere but the homepage. So one solution if this isn't a quick fix (don't want you pouring hours in!) is to make it a regular page with a shortcode to pull in news and then have a more news button at the bottom.

But - it's odd when something should work, but just doesn't like this. And not consistently.

Appreciating your help once again Michael - thanks!
