Pay for Premium Content with an Email Address?

Hello, does the Pay Per View plugin allow you to pay for free content with the exchange of an email address? Also, can it sync to MailChimp?

I’m afraid this functionality is not build into Pay Per View out of the box. It would take a good bit of rewriting of the plugin’s core files to enable these features.

However, something like this could be accomplished using our Membership 2 Pro plugin!

* What you want to do is create enable the MailChimp Integration add-on. Screenshot: https://goo.gl/eMdy44

* Create a free membership and grab the protect content shortcodes. Screenshot: https://goo.gl/0Jp6mV

* Make sure you select your MailChimp list you want to integrate the membership with. Screenshot: https://goo.gl/XqROYZ

* Then wrap the content you want to protect with the shortcodes with a prompt to register for access to the content. Screenshot: https://goo.gl/X5ERzz

In the above example, I added this custom CSS to my theme to make the protected content message stand out a bit:

James Morris, thank you for outlining. Unfortunately, it seems that no WPMUdev tools sync to MailChimp groups… only Lists. Would LOVE to see these MailChimp syncing tools updated to allow groups.

At this time, no, none of our products sync with MailChimp groups, only lists. If you would like, I could add this as a feature request for future development consideration.
