Pay for View setup results in Security error with paypal

First time setting up Pay for View, enabled on site, setup global settings, paypal signature input and all saved.

Using selection to protect one Vimeo video – and it all appears as it should, except when trying to pay for the event, I get

There was a problem connecting to PayPal to setup your purchase. Please try again.

10002 – Security error – Security header is not valid

and no access or ability to pay for the protected material.

Any ideas on what to check or change to permit the transaction to take place?

cheers,

Fred

    Greetings fms95032,

Thank you for this great question and bringing this significant issue to our attention.

I am assuming you are indeed in live mode, if not please go to live mode for our testing. The PayPal sandbox mode is erratic at best.

The only reasons that I have ever seen for this particular issue to date other then being in sandbox mode is one of the credentials not being exactly correct.

The most common problem is a space added at the end of the credentials when being copied and pasted.

The other is when the copy and paste of the credentials was in fact incomplete.

Please double check these items and please advise if this in fact resolves the issue.

    Cheers, Joe
