Performance report not Working

Hello, the performance report does not seem to be functioning for us: "The performance scan didn't return any results. This probably means you're on a local website (which we can't scan) or something went wrong trying to access WPMU DEV. Try again and if this error continues to appear please open a ticket with our support heroes"

    Hope you are doing good today :slight_smile:

    First of all, please make a plugin/theme conflict test to make sure its not due to a conflict. If you are not sure how to make a conflict test then follow the flowchart on getting support manual.

    If the issue persists, please enable support staff access so I could take a closer look. To grant access go to WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access -> Grant Support Access or see this manual for more details regarding how to enable support staff access.

    Thanks for granting support staff access. I replicated this issue on your site and found the culprit. Its due to your active Sydney Pro theme.

    However, I can understand that you may not switch the theme at the moment. So I tested it on google page speed test and see it worked there.

    So you can run the insights there and follow the recommendations:

    The first three recommendations below are most important. I am listing those down and also suggesting the possible solution.

    1. Optimize images - You can optimize images by using our WP Smush Pro plugin.

    2. Reduce server response time - Your server is taking 6.1 seconds to repond the HTTP request. That is really a lot. To improve this score, you need to use WP Fastest Cache or W3 Total Cache plugin to reduce the server load.

    3. Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
    Show how to fix.

    This means, move CSS and JS files to end of the page (in footer) those are taking lots time to load the page and blocking the rest of content rendering.

    You can improve this by enabling Hummingbirds Minification feature.

    Go to Hummingbird -> Minification, enable it and then minify, combine and reposition some files in footer to improve this score.

    Please note that, this may break front-end of your site. So after making each change, visit front-end to make sure every thing is working fine. If some thing broke, come back to minification page, revert that change and try a different combination.

    4. Enable compression - This is easy and one click (if your server support).

    In your case, the server seems to not supportive. Please contact your host and ask them to enable mod_deflate for Apache or ngx_http_gzip_module for NGINX.

    5. Leverage browser caching - Same issue here like the one we have with step four. To fix this, please contact your host and ask them to enable mod_deflate for Apache or ngx_http_gzip_module for NGINX.
