Plugin Conflict – Recent Global Posts + Domain Mapping

I have a multisite that uses the following plugins:

– Domain Mapping (forced https + wildcard SSL)

– Recent Global Posts

– Blogs Directory

Some sites in the platform have mapped domains, but do not use SSL. Subdomain sites are mapped correctly using SSL. Blogs Directory uses non-SSL links to all sites, allowing the SSL redirect to occur if needed.

The problem is that Recent Global Posts uses https for all post links, regardless of the destination site’s mapping. Therefore, the posts by mapped domain sites (non-SSL) are directed to https links and break.

It appears that this plugin should be using http: links and allowing Domain Mapping to force https if needed.

Is there a temporary solution for this? Myabe replacing // with http:// somewhere in the plugin’s code?

Thanks,

Chris

    Hi Chris,

Hope you’re doing well today

Thanks for the feedback, I will check this with our developers, but in the meantime could you try downloading below file, unzip it and place it inside your /wp-content/plugins/recent-posts/ folder and see if it works properly for you after that?

    Best regards,
