.po, .mo translation files are ignored

Hey, sorry to bother you guys again. For some reason I can't get the translation files for Private Messaging to take effect.

I tried it with the German translation available on your website, i also tried to create my own... I put the files in the wp-content/plugins/languages directory, also tried putting it directly in private-messaging/languages.

My wordpress installation is set to German. I also tried inlcuding define ('WPLANG', 'de_DE'); directly in wp-config. Yet none of this has helped so far.

The translation files are named "private-messaging-de_DE".
Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey there Tobias,

    Hope you are well!

It seems this is a bug with Private Messaging - me and my colleague tested this and was able to reproduce it.

I will submit this bug to the developer and it should be fixed in some of the next releases.

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the inconvenience,
    Ivan

    Hi there,

I hope you are well today and I'm sorry for the issue.

Be is right, there's a mistake about language file name. This will be fixed in next version. For now, please save the .po file as private_messaging-de_DE.po. This should work for you. Sorry again for the bug :slight_frown:

    Best regards,
    Hoang
