Pro Site problem with signup and activate account

2. Pro Site issue 2
When a customer sign up to choosen plan they have to add credit card to activate the site. The problem is that if they close the browser or open our site in another browser their site can not be activated and they can not login and add their card.

A simple and smart solution to this is to send customer an email with special URL so they can click on this to activate account and make the payment from another computer browser etc. Often you dont have the credit card in the place you start up the sign up process.

    Hi @Viktor,

Hope you are doing good today

The problem is that if they close the browser or open our site in another browser their site can not be activated and they can not login and add their card.

Its because the WordPress site does not recognize them in other browser/computers because of cookies/sessions, those are not available cross domains and cross platform for security reasons. That is not a Pro Sites issue, its how WP and other sites works actually.

They need to login again with their account and complete the checkout process, if they left it before.

For link to send to members as a reminder later is already in a feature and feedback section. If it gets enough +1's from the member of the community, then can be considered for development.

Thank you for posting in the forum and your feedback, we always appreciate that.

Take care and have a nice day

    Kind Regards,

    Hi !

The problem is that the user can not login and complete the checkout because they have not got any login details. You got the login details after you have paid for the subscription.. So from my side this is an pretty big issue. And if they try to register again they can not take the same name and same site URL because its already in the system and they have to wait 48 h.. No way to login without logindetails.

    How to sole this then?

    Hi @Viktor,

Hope you are doing good today

Yes, I agree with that, since its already in Features and Feedback section so lets see if we can get enough votes for this suggestion. More +1's the more chances of a feature request to be considered for development.

However, meanwhile you can disable signup on checkout from ProSites > Settings > General. This will require users to be registered and logged first in order to purchase. In this scenario here is the flow.

    1. Disable the signup on checkout.

    2. Redirect users to default registration form /wp-signup.php.

    3. On registration send them a welcome email message with necessary and attractive information using the AutoMessage plugin.

    4. Include the checkout page link and also guide them what they need for checkout.

Take care and have a nice day

    Kind Regards,
