Pro Sites 3.5 - Double Signup Email Sent

Hey guys,

Weird issue. After upgrading to Pro Sites 3.5(.0.1) I get two confirmation emails when creating a new account (this is on the user's end, I'm creating test accounts).

Im using BuddyPress for the signup page. After submitting the details, I get one email with the BP activation link + an email with the wp-signup.pnp confirmation link to activate the accounts.

Looking forward to getting this fixed
Cheers,
Aron

Hi @Aron Prins! Hope you are doing good

The developer of this plugin dig deeper into this issue on my server. After doing a lots of testing we figured it out its only happening when we are use Hostgator hosted emails.

Do you also using Hostgator for hosting your website ?

Also have you tried a different email ID(s) to test it. As I did not get double email when I used my Gmail email account. Please try different email and also update both plugins to latest version.

Look forward towards your response

    Cheers, Sajid

    Hey @Sajid,

We do not use hostgator but a Storm VPS Server at Liquid Web.
Im getting double emails in all cases - both ''free" email providers and custom domain ones.

Still eagerly awaiting and postponing the launch...
    Cheers,
    Aron

    Hey @Sajid,

Still waiting. We're almost 2 weeks into this and still dont have a fix.
I don't want to be the nagging customer, but this is starting to hurt my business plans.

Even a temporary code hack or something would make my day!
Looking forward to your replies

    Hey @Aron Prins,

Can you please check it with a gmail or other common email service, to confirm if the issue is with those services as well?

I understand your concern, but I really need to replicate it in general to fix the issue. @Sajid, was able to replicate, only if he was using a Hostgator mail client, otherwise he is getting a single mail only.

So can you please test it with Gmail, Yahoo mail.

I really appreciate your help in here.

Update: I just noticed, that you've already tried it with Free email services as well.

Are you using some client to check emails? Which one you've tried?

Do you have a sandbox setup? So that I can debug the issue on your site itself.

    Thanks, Umesh
