    Hey there MIKHAIL,

    hope you're doing good and thanks for joining us! :slight_smile:

    The HTTP error code 500 is a pretty generic message so we're going to need some more debug info. But before doing so, let's try to increase the memory limit that WP can use, as it's a common issue.

    Could you please access your server via FTP or another file manager program, edit the wp-config.php file of your WP installation and insert the following line just above the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ comment

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
    define('WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '768M');

    Ref: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

    Then try once more to install WP Smush Pro. If the error continues, let's continue by enabling WP_DEBUG. Simply access your server via FTP once more and edit the wp-config.php file. Find a line like
    define('WP_DEBUG', false);and replace it with the following (if the above line doesn’t exist, simply insert next snippet just above the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ comment)

    // Enable WP_DEBUG mode
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    // Disable display of errors and warnings
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
    @ini_set('display_errors', 0);

    Then go ahead and try to replicate the error by installing WP Smush Pro via WPMUDEV Dashboard.
    By doing so, a /wp-content/debug.log file should be created. Simply download it, rename it to debug.txt and attach it here in your next reply. If size of text file exceeds the 5MB limit of our blog, please use a service like Dropbox and post the shareable link instead.

    Finally, if this continues, please consider granting us with support access to your website so we can have a better look inside. You can do so via WPMUDEV -> Support admin page (no need to share credentials) as described here:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#chapter-4

    Looking forward for your results!
    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    Hello MIKHAIL,

    I reviewed the debug log file and noticed the following message:

    PHP Fatal error: Class 'WP_Ajax_Upgrader_Skin' not found

    This is already reported by some other users and the solution was the update of WordPress to the latest version. I can see that you also use a rather old WP version (v.4.4.8).
    Could you please update WP to the latest version (v.4.7.3) and try to install WP Smush Pro after that?
    You should be able to do so via Dashboard -> Updates admin page.
    Ref: https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#One-click_Update

    Just keep in mind to perform a full backup (files & DB) before updating WP core (or any other plugins or themes) so you could revert just in case something goes wrong.
    Snapshot plugin can help you create your backups.

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
