Problem updating plugins


I'm trying to update plugins on this site and I keep getting the message: "There was an unknown error". I tried several times I also tried with Hummingbird which is installed but not activated and I receive the same message.

Is the platform experiencing problems? Because when I'm on the WPMU Dev Dashboard on the site the plugin doesn't seem to recognise me. I'm greeted with the following: WELCOME, [NAME]
