Problem with a student access – pending account

Dear Team,

I have a problem regarding Course Press Pro. I have a student who join one of my courses. She registered herself, but after that a WP window appear saying that the account is pending for approval and that one administrator needs to activate the account to be able to access.

She could not access after that.

I check all the tabs of Course Press Pro to see if there was a message or a notification, but I cannot see anything.

Could you please help me to resolve this problem?

    We tried several things because she had that problem. So, At the beginning

    I offer free, then I changed to “pay” course but with 0€ fee, and now It

    is free again. But I am not sure when she connected.

    I can see the email address and her as student, but I do not see

    anything saying “pending”.

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    I’ve visited your site and checked CoursePress settings and these seems to be fine. That said, could you please advise on the following questions:

    – which is a user in question?

    – does this apply to all the students or this one only?

    – had it happened before or does it started recently?

    – have you made any changes to the site (or its config recently)?

    It would be great if you could provide me with these information!

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for taking care of this.

    This is the first time something like this happen, but because I have start now, I am creating the courses recently and I never sell them to the public, so I am not sure how to use the tool. For me was not clear what I have to do to enroll a student because I always access from my account as Administrator.

    This is my very first student to be honest.

    Hey Virginia!

    Thank you for this explanation and granting access to your site. I've checked your CoursePress settings and these are fine. That's why I've also examined other settings of your site and I believe I've got a solution for you.

    You're using an "All In One WP Security" plugin which by default was set to prevent automatic registration approval, meaning that you – as an admin – would have to manually approve every registered user in order to allow him/her access the site.

    Take a look at screenshot please.

    Switching this option off should let anyone easily register for courses and use your site with no need of your intervention :slight_smile: That said, I've already disabled this option for you and also approved the user so she should be able to login now. Also, future users should now be able to sign up with no problems.
