Problems with Signups

Hello… All of the sudden I am starting to having issues with the signup process within Pro-Sites. I think this happened after I deleted a few test accounts… I go through the signup process and when I click on the email link, the page comes up problem with this account. THe account does not seem to be there… I am giving the signup the option to upgrade during signup. And the link that is being sent is not redirecting to the upgrade… I have noticed the URL after I verify my email has something like “www.mydomain.com/pro-site” even though the account is not a proaccount.. Not sure if this is the issue but letting you know…

Thanks Tim

    Greetings Tim,

Sorry to see that you are having an issue with your installation containing Pro Sites.

This indeed a strange occurrence and just to make sure we do not have an external force messing with your head, are you running any caching on your web site?

You are using separate browsers for testing on versus developing with?

What is the URL to your signup/registration page?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe

Hello The signup page is http://.zblogging.com I have turned off the option of purchase during signup and it seems to work well…

I deleted the prosite plugin and did a restall and as a result the check out page was trashed… I can not figure out how to install it. It says it is in the trash but I am not sure were the trash is…

I have done a signup since then and the signup process works fine.. It is when I try to upgrade and “accessing the signup page” where the issue is now…

But, I dont believe that was the issue that started all this… But any way could you advize me on how to reset check out page… Thanks

PS. I was Checking on my link to force members to upgrade and I pasted it to my browser and the result was this… http://i.imgur.com/cxn09.png

    Got me a little worried…

Thanks for your help I am technically challenged so any help is welcomed

    Thanks Tim

The problem has to do with the upgrade page. I believe something happened when I tried to rename it. I trashed the original and created a new one and ever since, the signup has not worked. I disabled upgrades during signup and all is fine but after I get into the backoffice/Dasboard and try to upgrade the page is not found… Can someone tell me what the original page was named? Right now I have named it Pro Plus. I would like to rename it back to original and see if that works… Thanks Tim

PS Sorry I am a Newbie at this stuff and not to Technically inclined but I am getting better slowly Thanks for your Patience.

I need some help on this issue.. Can not figure it out… When clicking on the upgrade link in Dashboard, I get a page not found…

This is a screenshot of the setting under ProSite Settings menu. Note Entire page shown here with personal data scrubbed out.

This is a picture of the editable sample page I have created which does not show up

Here is a screenshot of the page that is coming up after I registered under a totally different account.

The link showing at the top of this page is http://zblogging.com/pro-plus/?bid=23 and the http:// disappears when actually getting to the page.

    and tells me this..

Now, what is weird is when I sign into the admin account and click on mysites and go to a account that was made to check updates I am working on but it is connected to the main admin account… The link above, all the same except the /?bid=(affiliateID part works.

This is which is my test account under the admin account works

    http://zblogging.com/pro-plus/?bid=23

Opening this page that works as expected.

Not sure what else i can tell you but, if you need anything else let me know…

    Thanks…

I figured out the issue and realized it was my fault… I had set the page as a “private page” so it would not show up on the main site header.

At least if this issue ever comes up again with someone like me, you guys will know what to ask them…

Now the only issue thought minor is, what other ways are they to high the Pro Plus in on the main sales page than marking it as private?

    Look at image

    Greetings Tim,

Thank you for letting us know and the first thing I would like to bring to your attention, just as you were your own worst enemy causing the issue itself – it is also spread to getting help in the ticket system.

Today is the first that you ticket has appeared on my screen in all this time.

Why? Here is a copy and paste form another ticket that tells the tale:

    ****Please note:****

One reason in this particular ticket here that we are having delays in a response is because of the way the ticket system works. The ticket system see’s every reply as well a reply … and then changes it’s priority in the support que to include ticket aging.

Therefore it may not show up on our screens as early as it would under normal conditions. It is usually in your best interest to not bump tickets or reply to them unless there is something significant to add.

    ****Please note****

So in short the ticket system feeds us the tickets in aging order – but every time a post is made it reduces the aging – so every time you posted, bumped, whatever you want to call it, you actually kept yourself form getting a reply.

Now that I believe you have a clear understanding of how the ticket system works, lets talk about the issue you had and a better way to handle it.

To keep selected pages form showing up in your menu system use the IM8 Exclude Pages plugin and simply put a check mark in the relative pages that you do not want showing in the menu.

That should do the job for you and at the same time avoid all the grief from trying other methods.
