Problems with the Ultimate Facebook documentation

Hi there. The documentation for the Ultimate Facebook plugin are out of date. The linked article here:
https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/how-to-make-a-facebook-app
Is really old and the images that are mentioned are not loading!
I'm having the problem that the instructions don't appear to match the current requirements for creating an App in Facebook.
Your instructions say that I need to:
"Look for Site URL field in the Web Site tab and enter your site URL in this field: https://xxxxxxxxxx.com"
However, when I do this Facebook will NOT allow this and throws this error:
"App domains must match the domain of the Secure Canvas URL, Mobile Site URL, Unity Binary URL, Site URL or Secure Page Tab URL. Please correct these domains: https://xxxxxxxxxx.com"
The only reason that I need this plugin is to allow me to have comments on posts from Facebook.
This appears to be working, but I want to get it all correctly configured.

I have enabled admin access to my site if that helps?
Thanks.

    Hello Nathan,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

The link that you included in your post leads to a forum discussion. It is outdated indeed but it's a support forum thread that was relevant at the time it was "alive". It's in no way a documentation of the plugin

You will find Ultimate Facebook usage guide/docs here:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/ultimate-facebook/#product-usage

Now that being said, I must admit this is a little bit out of date as well and I'm really sorry for this. We are currently working on new docs that would be fully up to date and should be made available in a near future.

As for the issue in question. Please give this steps a try:

    1. go to the developers.facebook.com and select the app that you created for Ultimate Facebook plugin
    2. go to the "Settings -> Basic" page there
    3. make sure that "Category" is set to "Application for websites"
    4. put the name of your site's domain into the "Application domains" field; make sure that you didn't use any http(s):// prefix and you didn't use a full URL - only the full domain name should go there (also, no "www" prefix).
    5. Below there should be the "Website" section where you put a full URL of your site (not the login/comments page but just an URL leading to the homepage)

After this is taken care of it may be necessary to re-authorize your Ultimate Facebook. To do this, please go to the "Facebook -> Facebook Settings" page in your site dashboard and use the "Reset auth tokens" option in "Permissions and Tokens" section.

Let me know if that worked for you please!

    Best regards,
    Adam
