Profile Page is 404 Error - BuddyPress Bar Links Wrong.

I am using the "copyblogger" theme right now, I do not know if this affects other themes or not.

Through the top menu admin bar that is displayed on the main site when logged in, there is a link to profile. http://homefamilyarticles.com/members/admin/profile/

this link return a 404 error.

Same with activity link

Please tell me what is wrong.

    Hello,

There isn't a buddypress link inside the dashboard of this blog. It only appears in the main blog I think. (in this case that is qkr.me) This is a blog on the network, using the domain mapping plugin.

When logged in (theme irrelevant) the top menu bar has a link to profile and activity. These links are 404 errors.

Sorry this was marked as resolved and isn't.

Buddy press does work on the main site and these links will take you where
they should... the problem is that on a network site the links point to the
buddypress pages on the networked site (where they do no exist).

Ok, I added that line to wp-config and it does indeed add buddypress to all sites.

However, this does not solve my problem. I don't want buddypress on all sites, I want the links that appear in the menu bar on all sites on the network to point to the right place.

Is that too much to ask?

    Problem...

I turned on and off buddypress for all sites. I want it OFF and never wanted it on.

It's turned off, and there is no longer a buddypress option for sub blogs.

BUT... they all have this warning message at the top of the page

You'll need to activate a BuddyPress-compatible theme to take advantage of all of BuddyPress's features. We've bundled a default theme, but you can always install some other compatible themes or update your existing WordPress theme.

The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activity Streams, Site Tracking, Discussion Forums, User Groups, Members, Activate, Register. Repair

How do I fix this too?

    Hey again.

    With you mentioning:

they should... the problem is that on a network site the links point to the
buddypress pages on the networked site (where they do no exist).

It was sub sites, I was wondering if you had enabled blog and the Buddy bar links were pointing to the site it was on.

If not then don't worry about that, but if you wanted to know more then you can read up here:

Yeah thats because now you added the constant from the link above. It didn't need adding, I was just asking if you had because you mentioned the link issue was on sub sites.

So I can no longer demonstrate this problem... got tired of waiting for support.
This issue DOES exist however and should be fixed.

I'm real sorry for the delay here, I had the day off yesterday. It was my wedding anniversary.

If you believe this is an issue or bug then you should report that to the BuddyPress developers. They are independent to us and is a child project to WordPress.

    http://buddypress.org/about/story/

I see this issue was reported here:

    http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4024

Boone also suspected the multisite constant which I did. Never thought about bp-custom.php though, you done anything with such a file?

I've completely removed buddypress for now, but may want to activate it again later.

As you are not pursuing this issue then I will will mark it as resolved for now, but please feel free to open it up again when try again.

    Take care.
