Proudly powered by WordPress

would it be better for me to create a child theme and update my footer.php and get rid of the Proudly powered by WordPress or is there a different way to get rid of the Proudly powered by WordPress. I don't want to continue to change the Proudly powered by WordPress. Is there a plug in to do this or I do i need to make a child theme

    Hi Orlando,

Hope you are doing good today.

Would highly recommend that if you are making any changes to your theme, you should do that via a Child theme, so that the changes made won't get overwritten when the parent theme is updated.

Would recommend you to make this changes using a chlid theme, and since the div Proudly powered by WordPress. varies upon each theme, the changes would better fit a child theme rather than a plugin.

Could you please point out which website I should be looking at, so that we could provide the specific changes for you to implement. Please let us know so that we could help get this sorted. Have a nice weekend.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
