Public Blogs Not Showing Up on "Visitor" (stranger) blog list page

Hi!

I have a question about the blogs page (the directory of blogs). When a visitor comes to the site — not logged in — and goes to the Blogs page, what they see is the following notice: “Sorry, there were no blogs found.”

I have public subsites, I have buddypress, membership, and it seems to be working fine…

I am using buddypress, so I don’t think I need the Blog Directory plugin (it would be redundant, right?)

Any thoughts on what I have set incorrectly?

Thanks!

Stephanie

    Hey there.

The blog directory was developed before BuddyPress and isn't really designed to work with it.

BuddyPress does have its own functionality for this you simple need to assign a page in the admin area:

Admin –> Network Admin (Network if applicable) –> BuddyPress –> Pages

    Screenshot attached.

    Take care.
