putting padding around content

hi. I am looking for a way to have some good top and bottom padding on each of my web pages. Is there a good way I can do that with this site on all pages?

    Hello imagineutopia,

    I hope you’re having a nice day today!

    I believe this could be done with some relatively simple custom CSS and I’ll be happy to help you with this. I’m not sure however where these puddings should be put. Could you please share some more details with me? A simple screenshot with location of these paddings marked would also be of great help here :slight_smile:

    Please advise!

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hello imagineutopia!

    Thank you for this explanation, it’s all clear now :slight_smile:

    This CSS rule should do the job for you:

    #main {
    padding-top:10px;
    padding-bottom:10px;
    }

    To apply it to your site please add it to your child theme’s “style.css” file (if you are using a child theme) or to a custom css box of your theme’s options page (if there’s any) or using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    In case that CSS didn’t work for you, please try this version instead:

    #main {
    padding-top:10px!important;
    padding-bottom:10px!important;
    }

    I hope that helps!

    Best regards,

    Adam
